Goodpoint: We see only what we focus on. Although what we don't focus on can change our lives.
We see only what we focus on. Although what we don´t focus on can change our lives. Six people. Six stories. And all of them strongly connected. - An owner of a newspaper stall, who is drowning in troubles. - A millionaire who has it all but the one thing he wants the most. - A careerist with a dilemma. - A womanizer who only looks at the world through money and sex. - An overweight publisher looking for a bestseller. - A young widow trying to save her son´s life. Can these lives be connected as they are happening in different places all around the world? What if they can't exist without each other? Is everyone looking for their own "Goodpoint"? You may have missed a bus, or somebody cancelled a scheduled meeting. You may have just not greeted someone on the street, or intentionally not pick up the phone. You may have pushed someone by accident, or your car broke at the most inconvenient time. Do you think these things are insignificant in life and do not mean anything? What if it is just the opposite? What if life consists of seemingly insignificant things? More about author: www.RobertoCanducci.com Give me your comment here. Reader Reviews
A good, entertaining read
Loved how all the characters' lives intertwined in this story. Very entertaining read which I recommend. Would love to see another like this one.
Stories on lives touching other lives
It was an interesting collection of short stories on people's actions affecting other people's lives without knowing it and how each story was connected to the other. It was a very interesting concept and made you wonder how true it is. I enjoyed all of these stories.

I wanted to like this more
I really liked the idea of this book, but in the end it did not deliver. Part of the problem is that first few parts of the book take place in New York, but it felt like the author only knows New York (and maybe the entire USA) only from watching tv and movies. It also felt ironic that a book about the publishing world felt like it needed a good editor itself. I also felt that each short story moved too fast for me to really care about the people. Maybe it would have worked better as a screen play.
